ABOUT TV
Tanya Velázquez is an award-winning bilingual reporter bringing visibility to underrepresented communities through authentic, on-the-ground journalism.
Ni de aquí, ni de allá.
Nor from here, nor from there.
I’m a first-generation Mexicana raised in Texas with ancestral roots in the indigenous Otomí community of Guanajuato. My life has been shaped by navigating two worlds: rural central Mexico and the suburbs of Fort Worth, learning to move fluidly between their distinct traditions, rhythms, and dialects. That dual lens now allows me to report across cultures and tell complex, community-based stories with depth and nuance.

One Woman. One Phone. One Laptop.
